DAR David Hall Chapter to host open house in Lewes Aug. 10

August 3, 2019

The Colonel David Hall Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution members will host an open house from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 10, at the Maull House, 536 Pilottown Road, Lewes.

The public is invited to attend.

Light refreshments will be served and visitors are invited to tour the historic Maull House (circa 1739). The chapter will also display its graphic quilt, A Legacy of Patriotism: A Homestead and the Maull Family. An entry in the DAR American Heritage Committee Contest, the quilt was designed to preserve the intertwined stories of the chapter’s namesake patriot, Colonel David Hall, and the Maull family, local patriots whose descendants were the longtime owners of the historic Maull House, now the property of the DAR chapter.

Parking is available in the area near the canal across Pilottown Road from the house.
