The Col. David Hall Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution will welcome visitors to the Thomas Maull House from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 2, at 536 Pilottown Road, Lewes.
In addition to tours, there will be a bake sale and hand-knit maritime mitts for sale, with proceeds to benefit maintenance of the house.
Knitters are Lori Metz, Sandy Casanova, Dorothy Niemczuk, Gainor Urian and Carolyn M. Humes, members of a local knitting guild based in Georgetown. Permission to use the knitting pattern was given by the designer, Mary Jane Mucklestone, and materials were provided by Sea Needles in Bethany Beach.
One of the oldest houses in Delaware, the historic 1739 home is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Public parking is available on the canal side of the property.
