Dawn Elizabeth McGee-Passwaters, passionate teacher
The veil was lowered and our heavenly Father called Dawn Elizabeth McGee-Passwaters home the evening of Thursday, April 18, 2024.
Dawn, a beloved wife, mother, and teacher, came into this world March 15, 1966, to Theodore and Jeanette McGee, whom she will rejoin in the kingdom of heaven.
Dawn married her longtime love, Robert Passwaters. In 1987, in that union, the pair would have two children. Dawn is survived by her husband, Robert; her son, Wade Passwaters; her daughter, Nicole Passwaters; daughter-in-law, Megan Passwaters; and two grandchildren, Skye and Hayden Passwaters.
Dawn had a passion for teaching, and her patience and care for all her students will be remembered for the remainder of time. She will be deeply missed by her students and co-workers.
A visitation will be held from 4 to 5:30 p.m., Thursday, April 25, at Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market St., Georgetown, with a memorial service beginning at 5:30 p.m. The family invites everyone to a fellowship following the service at Ellendale Fire Hall.
