The Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition held its annual Southern Lights of Life Masquerade Ball Feb. 28 at Dover Downs. This annual event directly benefits the coalition in Kent and Sussex counties as it continues to meet the needs of those they serve in the community.
In addition to funding the annual Breast Cancer Update, the funds allow DBCC to pair newly diagnosed individuals with trained peer mentors to provide the road map for care and support through Beginning Your Journey workshops and bring vital screenings into communities that need them the most. The vision of the DBCC is "to create a community where every person diagnosed with breast cancer is a survivor, and fear and doubt are replaced with knowledge and hope."
