The Delaware Tech women’s volleyball team won the NJCAA Region 19 Division II Championship Oct. 29, in Scranton, Pa. It is the team’s third regional title in the past five years and fourth title overall. As regional champions, Delaware Tech advanced to the NJCAA District L Championship, that was held Nov. 5-6 in Warwick, R.I.
Delaware Tech claimed the regional championship by defeating Harcum 25-13, 25-23, 17-25, 25-22 in the title game and Lackawanna 25-13, 25-11, 25-8 in a semifinal match. With the two victories, Delaware Tech is now 26-3 on the year.
Based upon their on-court performance throughout the season, outside hitters Marimar Rodriguez-Ramos and Mary O’Hanlon were named to the Region 19 Division II All-Region Team.
