Delaware Electric Cooperative held its 81st Annual Community Fair Aug. 15 at the Centre Ice Rink at the Delaware State Fairgrounds in Harrington. A business meeting was also held at the Dover Building on the same day.
Delaware Electric Cooperative is member-owned, and the annual meeting provides members with the opportunity to receive an update on the financial state of DEC. Members also received the co-op’s annual report. Live music and displays from various community organizations were featured at the meeting.
This is the largest annual private gathering in southern Delaware. Numerous vendors were present at the Community Fair along with music and chicken dinners for the over 6,000 DEC member-owners.
