Delaware Gives spurs nonprofit donations for Giving Tuesday Nov. 29

Delaware Gives, a free online donation platform powered by Spur Impact, is open to help local nonprofits raise funds this Giving Tuesday, Nov. 29.

More than 600 Delaware nonprofits have profiles on DEGives.org, where potential donors can learn about each nonprofit and its impact on the community. DEGives.org has processed nearly 30,000 donations on behalf of nonprofits to support their efforts year-round.

Each registered nonprofit receives its own unique URL that can be personalized with pictures, videos, mission statements and other information about the organization. There is no fee for nonprofits to use the platform’s basic features, such as creating personal or project-based fundraising campaigns for Giving Tuesday and other programs.

Spur Impact also offers customized support for nonprofits looking to receive more help with their fundraising campaigns and developing strategies to maximize their efforts around engaging with individual donors. The Delaware Gives website is also used for Delaware’s annual giving day event, Do More 24 Delaware, in March.

This year, Spur Impact has helped over 20 nonprofits launch their #GivingTuesday campaigns, including local organizations Code Purple, Delaware Adolescent Program Inc., Delaware Botanic Gardens, Humane Animal Partners Delaware, Lewes Public Library, Milford Advocacy for the Homeless, Rehoboth Beach Main Street and Selbyville Public Library.
