The Nanticoke Indian Tribe honored Delaware Hospice with an invitation to exhibit at the 2011 Nanticoke Powwow.
Delaware Hospice’s tradition of holistic caring for patients and families in their home environments by a multidisciplinary team of professionals complements Native American culture.
Chief Herman “Tommy” Robbins said, “Many of our family members have benefited from Delaware Hospice’s care, and we’re pleased that they could be here to educate others in our communities about their services.”
Powwow Chair Leogla Wright organized the event and also warmly welcomed Delaware Hospice representatives. “I know several individuals who have been with your organization, and a few who are your patients now. Your staff always gives exceptional care.”
In a continuing effort to provide information to its members, the Nanticoke Indian Tribe and the Indian Mission United Methodist Church will hold Delaware Hospice Information Sessions from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 22, at the Nanticoke Indian Center, 27073 John J. Williams Hwy., Millsboro. These sessions are free and open to the public, but attendees should register by calling Leolga T. Wright, 302-945-0830.
