While driving around Sussex County the other day it occurred to me that our state needs a new flag and motto.
The flag would be composed of a light-blue backround with three orange barrels, and the motto: “Via semper sub constructus” or “roads always under construction.”
This can be complemented with an office motto for the Sussex County, municipal planning, and DelDOT offices: “Our comprehensive planning - a day late and a dollar short.” I am working on obtaining the petition signatures.

Criticism of public figures is permissible. Endorsement letters for political candidates are no longer accepted. Letters must be the author’s original work, and may not be generated by artificial intelligence tools. Templates, form letters and letters containing language similar to other submissions will not be published.
