Delaware Resorts Fall Home Expo shines through the clouds
While the rain was falling outside, everything fall was on display inside Cape Henlopen High School Oct. 1-2.
The fifth annual Delaware Resorts Fall Home Expo was held despite less-than-ideal weather conditions, offering a venue for more than 80 exhibitors to interact with potential customers.
Sussex County Habitat for Humanity, as it has been at Delaware Resorts Expos for the last 20 years, was the beneficiary of the event, and had a table promoting ReStore shops in Lewes and Georgetown. $1,000 was donated to the non-profit.
Attendees were often greeted at the door by event organizer Kathy Benson and checked out tables of sponsors, including Patio Systems Inc., Delaware Retiree, Delaware First Health, Schell Brothers, Energize Delaware, Coastal Bath Co., the Julie Gritton team of Coldwell Banker, Seagull Fence and Concrete, and Soaring Solar.
Merchants offering home products, services, construction, financial services, insurance, retirement advice, healthcare, artists and more treated guests to their best tricks in hopes of conjuring up business.
For those with a grave hunger, the Cape Henlopen High School Honor Society provided service at the concession stand.
The next Delaware Resorts Home Expo is the sixth annual 55+ Expo from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 5. Beebe Healthcare is the lead sponsor, and will offer free health screenings and flu shots.
For more information about the Delaware Resorts Expos, Benson is available by phone at 302-236-0857 or by email at kathy@dexpos.com.
