Delaware Resorts Spring Home Expo celebrates 25 years

More than 1,000 people turned out over the weekend

Homeowners, creative do-it-yourselfers, and those curious about improving the aesthetics of the interior and exterior of their homes found all they could ask for inside the halls of Cape Henlopen High School April 9-10. Kathy Benson, founder and coordinator of Delaware Resorts Expos, brought in more than 80 vendors for the 25th annual Delaware Resorts Spring Home Expo that showcased their services to more than 1,500 visitors over the course of the weekend. 

Sussex County Habitat for Humanity, the event beneficiary, received a $1,000 check. The event has raised $25,000 since its inception.

Sponsors of this year’s event were the Cape Gazette, Patio Systems Inc., CleanCut Interlocking Pavers & Pools, Delaware Retiree Connection, Soaring Solar, Energize Delaware, Schell Brothers, Coastal Bath Co., Tidemark Federal Credit Union, Sussex County Women’s Magazine and 47 ABC.

 

Aaron Mushrush joined the sports team in Summer 2023 to help cover the emerging youth athletics scene in the Cape Region. After lettering in soccer and lacrosse at Sussex Tech, he played lacrosse at Division III Eastern University in St. David's, PA. Aaron coached lacrosse at Sussex Tech in 2009 and 2011. Post-collegiately, Mush played in the Eastern Shore Summer Lacrosse League for Blue Bird Tavern and Saltwater Lacrosse. He competed in several tournaments for the Shamrocks Lacrosse Club, which blossomed into the Maryland Lacrosse League (MDLL). Aaron interned at the Coastal Point before becoming assistant director at WMDT-TV 47 ABC in 2017 and eventually assignment editor in 2018.
