Dennis Charles Schnepfe, successful attorney

Dennis Charles Schnepfe, Esq., 74, of Rehoboth Beach, passed away Friday, Dec. 15, 2023, at Brandywine Living at Seaside Pointe in Rehoboth Beach, after a battle with cancer and a stroke. He was born April 7, 1949, in Baltimore, Md., son of the late Robert W. and Thelma Margaret Schnepfe (nee Roby).

After graduating from Calvert Hall, Dennis attended Georgia Tech and University of Maryland School of Law to become an attorney. A long and successful career was highlighted with an appointment to the position of secretary of state for the State of Maryland.

Dennis had many passions, which included his love for the Orioles baseball team. He found comfort in boating, fishing, crabbing and cooking for his family. Above all, the time he spent with those he held dear was what he cherished most. Dennis was a loving and devoted son, brother and friend, and will be deeply and genuinely missed by all who knew and loved him.

Dennis is survived by his brother, Bob Schnepfe; and countless friends and co-workers.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, Jan. 15, at Brandywine Living at Seaside Pointe, Rehoboth Beach.
