Dennis Gatta, loved the beach

Dennis Gatta, 64, of Millsboro, passed away suddenly at Christiana Hospital Friday, Feb. 9, 2024.
Dennis played quarterback for the Claymont High School football team and also played baseball. He became a mentor at a Georgetown recovery house for lost souls, as well as ran the same house for several years. Dennis loved the beach, his friends, cooking, and sports.

Dennis was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence A. Gatta; and mother, Rita M. Majewski Gatta; he is survived by his fiancée, Debra Boyd (nee Ordonez); son, Dennis Michael Gatta of North Carolina; sister, Donna Wedman (Edward); brothers, Tony Gatta and Bryan Gatta; stepdaughters, Jennifer Noble (John) and Katelyn Mersinger; step-grandchildren, Michael and Dillon; Debbie's extended family; many nieces and nephews; fur babies, Beau and Bugsy; and best friends, Paula and James Konitzer.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
