Dewey Beach Civic League officers installed

Organization recognizes town committee Chair Jim Tyler

Members of the Dewey Beach Civic League voted to elect officers for the upcoming year at their Aug. 24 meeting.

Diane Hanson will continue as president. Joan Kloepfer was re-elected treasurer and Diane TenHoopen and Eleanor Tyler will share secretary duties.

The civic league also recognized former resident and community leader Jim Tyler, who died in July, by presenting a plaque in his memory to his wife of 58 years, Eleanor.

Civic league member Jen Taylor said Tyler lent his experience as a civil engineer to the town infrastructure committee, which he chaired from 2012 until he stepped down in 2023.
