Dewey Beach Picnic Co. provides pop-up fun
Former Key West wedding planner Jessica Jones has lent her expertise to a new venture aimed at designing a carefree, fun experience for couples, families and friends.
“This is what I know, so I created Dewey Beach Picnic Co.,” she said.
Jones offers a luxury picnic setup customized to each client’s need – from beach parties to proposals and intimate evenings to bachelorette parties.
“I take care of everything from start to finish,” she said.
Customers fill out a short questionnaire on the Dewey Beach Picnic Co. website and are contacted for a consultation to discuss decor ideas and tableware needs to create a personalized spread for the occasion.
All picnics include flavored water, ice and an ice bucket, assorted games, a Bluetooth speaker, customized sign, bug spray, hand sanitizer, bottle opener and battery-powered fan.
Packages are available for up to 26 people, and prices start at $200 for a two-hour party for two people. Setup and breakdown are included.
Clients can also choose to add from a selection of upgrades, including bonfires or lounge chairs. Jones said she is working with local restaurants to establish a catering menu, and can also pick up food along the way.
Finger foods like pizza or a charcuterie board are best for picnics, she said. Jones can also arrange for a contracted photographer to capture special moments.
“I hope I get clients with some crazy ideas so I can branch out and try new things,” she said. “Togetherness is the best way to build bonds.”
