Doctors, nurses lauded for kindness

January 3, 2025

I’d like to share an act of kindness I experienced over the Christmas holiday from Dr. Fadi Damouni and his nurse, Joy. I became ill and needed medical attention during the holiday. I called the office in Millsboro to find that Dr. Damouni was out of the office on holiday. Before I knew it, I received a call from the doctor, one of four calls he made to check on me. He called Joy and had her order a prescription for me. Apparently, the prescription I needed right away was not available at any of the pharmacies in Lewes that she called. Joy continued to call around and found that the Rite Aid in Seaford had what I needed. She called me back a few hours later, and said she would deliver the medication to my home in Lewes.

Upon Joy delivering the medication to my home I found out that she had driven from Millsboro to the Seaford pharmacy to pick up the medication and delivered it to my Lewes home. I was flabbergasted, and grateful for this selfless act of kindness during this Christmas holiday. Dr. Fadi Damouni and his staff in Millsboro are the best. Concierge service without the cost of a concierge doctor. I wish Dr. Damouni, Joy, and the staff at Peninsula Health a happy, healthy and joyous new year. Thank you for the exceptional care!
