Donald Lee Dailey Sr., retired truck driver

Mr. Donald Lee Dailey Sr., 60, of Lincoln, passed in peace and surrounded by family and loved ones Sunday, Aug. 16, 2015.

Don was a loving and devoted son, father, husband, grandfather, brother, uncle and best friend to many. He is preceded in death by his father Leroy Harry Dailey Sr.; older brother Jack Herrmann (Butch); and his granddaughter Hallie Marlene Norfolk.

He is survived by his mother, Lillian Dailey; wife Linda Dailey; daughter and son-in-law Michele Hostedler an Cyle Hostedler; daughter Samantha Wright; son and future daughter- in-law Donald Dailey Jr. and Ashley Cannon; sons, Raymond Murphy and Jason Dailey; brother Leroy Dailey Jr.; and sisters Carolyn DuVal, Christine Potts an Arlene Fowler. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, Katelyn Jessup, Brittany Jessup, Jessica Jessup, James Jessup IV, Shane Jessup, Cyle Hostedler Jr, Malachi Hostedler, Brooklyn Dailey, Aiden Dailey, Kelsea Wills, Jayda Dailey, Jayson Dailey, David Dailey, Nathaniel Nechay, Sarah Murphy and Jake Cook; one great-granddaughter Isabella Price; and his best friend Jake.

Don’s occupation was a truck driver before he became ill. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and even though most would look at it as a chore, he enjoyed mowing the grass and working in his yard. He also took pleasure in spending time with family and friends. He will forever remain in our hearts.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, Aug. 21, at Christ Evangelistic Church, 9802 Camp Road, Laurel, where friends may call after 10 a.m. for visitation and viewing. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Millsboro.
