Donor appreciation party kicks off Dewey Goes Pink

11th annual race and fundraiser set to pass $1 million at Oct. 8 event

Dewey Goes Pink event organizers thanked businesses and individuals contributing silent auction items for the annual fundraiser at a donor appreciation event Sept. 14 at The Starboard.

Donors brought silent auction items and enjoyed a spread of hearty appetizers, signature orange crushes and other refreshments.

The Starboard will host the 11th annual Dewey Goes Pink and Gugie Run race and fundraiser for the Delaware Breast Cancer Saturday, Oct. 8. The race kicks off at 11 a.m., and the party continues with food from Bethany Blues, live music and fun all day.

In 10 years, the event has raised $963,000 for the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition, and organizers expect this year to top the $1 million mark. To learn more about the coalition’s programs and services, go to debreastcancer.org.
