Dorosky-Oliver joined as life partners in civil union

Andy Dorosky, left, and Gregory Oliver were joined as life partners in civil union Sunday, Jan. 15,  at CAMP Rehoboth in Rehoboth Beach.  The commitment service was followed by a reception in the Swan Ballroom at the Atlantic Sands Hotel. Greg and Andy were joined on this special day by approximately 90 friends and family, including former Delaware Department of Transportation Secretary Anne Canby.

Following the festivities, Andy and Greg were whisked off in their 1946 Ford Tudor Superdeluxe to their honeymoon in New Orleans. Greg is employed by the Delaware Department of Transportation, and Andy manages the Royal Rose Inn Bed and Breakfast in Rehoboth Beach, which they co-own. Same-sex civil unions became legal in Delaware Jan. 1, 2012, and convey all of the rights and responsibilities of marriage.
