Dover boys and CR girls dominate meet at Cape
A quad meet at Cape Henlopen April 21 featured boys' and girls' teams as the Vikings hosted Dover, Caesar Rodney and Sussex Central.
The Dover boys dominated their side of the street, crushing all in their lanes, defeating Cape 114-32, Caesar Rodney 113-33, and Sussex Central 124-13.
Cape also lost to Caesar Rodney 82-63 and defeated Sussex Central 83-63.
Cape’s Sam Young was an overall winner in the 300-meter hurdles in 41.8 and in the pole vault at 13 feet even. Young will pole vault at the Penn Relays Friday, April 24.
The Caesar Rodney girls dominated the women’s competition, beating Cape 96-50, Dover 107-39 and Sussex Central 103-41.
Cape’s Anshe Boyer won the 100 meters in 12.9, while Dejonte Mackey won the 110 hurdles in 16.2 and the 300 hurdles in 50.0.
