Eagles versus Rams

January 17, 2025

On Sunday at 3 p.m., the Eagles will play the Rams at Lincoln Financial Field. I think this will be a high-scoring game. The Rams will want revenge since the Eagles already beat them in Week 12 by the score of 37-20, when Saquon Barkley had his best game as an Eagle. He rushed for a record 255 yards in the game. I’m kind of nervous about the outcome of this game because I think A.J. Brown, the Eagles’ best wide receiver, is more hurt than he is letting on since he only had one catch in last week’s game.

If the Eagles can win this game, they will play either the Washington Commanders or the Detroit Lions in the NFC championship game. If the Commanders win, the Eagles will have home-field advantage and their own chance for revenge from a Week 16 tough loss. The Eagles’ defense is going to have to play well again this week because the Rams offense can be explosive. Go Birds!

The 76ers’ season could be already lost. Joel Embiid and Paul George cannot seem to stay healthy and play in the same games. I did not realize the 76ers have the oldest roster in the league this year. For example, one of their players, 38-year-old Kyle Lowry, has basically become a coach because of a consistent hip injury. In 39 games this season, they’ve only won 15, which means in order for them to have any chance to make the playoffs, they have to go on a significant winning streak between now and the the all-star break in February. If the 76ers are not successful with this, I think Joel Embiid should be shut down for the season to try and get his foot, ankle and knee all healthy for next year.
