Early morning fire destroys Rehoboth home

An early morning fire April 22 destroyed a home near Rehoboth Beach.
The blaze occurred about 1:20 a.m. at 21 Corofin Lane in the Kinsale Glen community west of Route 1. The home was completely engulfed, and the fire also severely damaged two vehicles and neighboring homes.
All occupants had safely exited the home, but a cat died in the incident.
Crews remained on scene for more than three hours.
Firefighters from Rehoboth Beach, Lewes, Bethany Beach and Indian River responded to the fire.
The Delaware State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause and origin of the fire.

This vehicle and another behind it were damaged during the blaze. The neighboring home also shows damage.
