Easter Bunny arrives in Lewes via boat
Canalfront Park filled to capacity with children taking part in Bunny Bonanza

A large crowd filled Lewes Canalfront Park April 8 to celebrate the annual Bunny Bonanza, which included arrival of the Easter Bunny on a Freedom Boat Club pontoon boat. Escorted by the Sea Sisters, the bunny arrived exactly at 10:30 a.m. Even before he docked, excited youngsters had gathered to greet him.
Thanks to the efforts of volunteers and the Friends of Canalfront Park, children were able to gather 7,000 candy-filled eggs set out in boats in the park.
The guest of honor has arrived. The Easter Bunny waves to the large crowd from his Freedom Boat Club Sea Sisters escort down the Lewes-Rehoboth Canal.
A path is cleared for the Easter Bunny to walk off the Canalfront Park dock into a throng of excited children waiting to meet him.
