Easter events hopping around coastal Delaware

Easter Bunny in Milton: The Easter Bunny is set to make an appearance from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, April 4, in celebration of Easter Sunday. The bunny will be mingling around downtown Milton near the bridge with special surprises for adults and children. 

Saturday, April 3

Blessing of the Animals and Easter Egg Hunt: American Legion Auxiliary Unit 28 will host its annual blessing of the animals and Easter egg hunt at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, April 3, at American Legion Post 28, 31768 Legion Road, Millsboro. The blessing will take place at 10:30 a.m. and all animals are invited. Animal should be leashed or caged, if appropriate. Dewey Egg Scoop: The Easter Bunny will return to Dewey Beach for the Dewey Business Partnership’s Egg Scoop, set for 10:45 a.m., Saturday, April 3. In addition to egg hunts for children of all age levels, an adult egg hunt will award a 50/50 cash prize, and a new puppy promenade showcasing dogs dressed in their Easter finery will close the event. Easter Egg Hunt to Benefit the Ericka Wright Family: Hunt for eggs, take pictures with the Easter Bunny and participate in other fun activities starting at noon, Saturday, April 3, at Estate at the Plantation Ridge, 25113 Enge Lane, Millsboro. Family Easter Hope Celebration and Easter Egg Hunt: Join the Family Ministry at Mariners Bethel United Methodist Church, 81 Central Ave., Ocean View for a fun event filled with hope and love. Starting at 1 p.m., Saturday, April 3, there will be crafts, music, airbrush tattoos, an Easter Egg Hunt and a possible sighting of the Easter Bunny. Families must preregister for a 1-hour time slot. Easter Bunny Tea: The Easter Bunny and friends will host an interactive Easter tea that is great for all ages at 1 p.m., Sunday, March 28, at Milton Theatre. Characters will sing, dance and tell stories all while engaging the entire audience. Family Easter Scavenger Hunt: Avenue United Methodist Church at 20 N. Church St. in Milford is hosting a socially distanced scavenger hunt. Participants can walk (or drive) around Milford to complete several tasks based on the Holy Week account as Jesus heads to the Cross and Resurrection. Downtown Milford Easter Scavenger Hunt: Scavenger hunt pages will be available at the Milford Public Library, 11 S E Front St., Milford, at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 27. After collecting stamps and goodies at each participating downtown business, the completed page can be returned to the library for a small prize. Registration required for this rain or shine event. Long Neck Easter Egg Hunt: The Local Ladies of Long Neck and Amvets Post 2 will host an Easter egg hunt from 1 to 3 p.m., Saturday, March 27, at the post at 32592 Long Neck Road, Millsboro. Drive-thru Easter Event: Long Neck United Methodist Church Sunday School will host a community outreach drive-thru Holy Week experience from 1 to 3 p.m., Saturday, March 27, in its parking lot at 32051 Long Neck Road, Millsboro. Participants will experience the event leading up to Easter Sunday as they drive past colorful scenery and volunteer participants. Each child in a vehicle will receive a He Is Risen treat bag filled with goodies handed out by the Easter Bunny and helpers. A limited supply of 100 treat bags is available.
