Elegant jazz music with Fifth Avenue set at Milton Theatre March 25
Fifth Avenue is where jazz meets the Great American Songbook. Their unique arrangements, both vocal and instrumental, exude a level of intimacy, virtuosity and elegance that delight audiences. The Milton Theatre will present An Evening of Musical Elegance with Fifth Avenue at 8 p.m., Saturday, March 25.
On sax is Ken Cicerale, a former student of legendary saxophonists Gerry Niewood and Frank Foster. Cicerale has performed for many years as both leader and sideman with various jazz and pop ensembles in the greater New York area. On piano and vocals is Vincent Varrassi, a Milton local who has performed for years with his 6- and 8-piece show band, A Touch of Class. He has worked with many outstanding musicians and vocalists performing music across all eras. On percussions/vocals is Ken Schleifer, a lifelong professional performer who has had the opportunity to work with many musical groups from a small jazz trio to big bands, performing classic and modern rock, R&B, blues, Latin and contemporary pop music all over the East Coast.
