Elizabeth Ann Ward, interior designer

Elizabeth “Betz” Ann Ward, 66, of Dagsboro, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2025, at ChristianaCare-AccentCare in Wilmington.

Betz was born July 19, 1958, daughter of Margaret Ann Trice Moore and the late Lt. Colonel James Buckson Moore. She was raised in Dorchester County, Md., where in 1976, she graduated from Cambridge High School. She furthered her education by completing her degree at Wesley College in Dover. Betz was employed by J. Conn Scott for over 30 years as an interior designer, which she truly loved.  

Betz was a loving mother of two children, Jacob and Julia Jaquette, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her father; first husband, Jerry Jaquette; and second husband, Stephan Lawrence Ward.

Betz is survived by her mother, Margaret Ann Trice Moore; brothers, James B. Moore and Yvonne Moore, and Bradley T. Moore and Cynthia Moore; stepchildren, Stephan Michael Ward and Shirley Ann Ward; and neices and nephews, Jacklyn Moore, Jordan Bowser, Josh Moore, Kim Penny, Ashley Miller and Trice Moore.

Services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, March 15, at Zion United Methodist Church, 100 Locust St., Cambridge, Md. There will be a joint service for Steve Ward and Betz at 1 p.m., Monday, March 31, at Bishop and Hastings in Selbyville.
