Elizabeth B. Brewer, loved her family
Elizabeth (Betty) B. Brewer, 81, of Millsboro, passed away Sunday, Nov. 20, 2022, from medical complications at University of Maryland Medical Center. She was born Feb. 28, 1941
Betty is survived by her two children, her son, John (Janet) Brewer of Millsboro; and daughter, Beverly A. Marta of Millsboro. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren, Thomas (Rhiannon) Davis of Greenwood, Ashlea P. Brewer of Clayton, Jessica (Chris) Loller of Ellendale, Amanda (Jason) Harmon of Maryland, John E. Brewer of Dover, Jeffery L. Brewer of Millsboro, Anthony J. Marta of Lewes, and Rachel A. Marta of Lewes; her seven great-grandchildren, Haylee, Ryleigh, Izzy and Ellie, Persephone, Mckayla, and Isabella; her brother, Edward Bond of Saratoga Springs, N.Y.; nieces, Judy Bond Conley of West Chester Pa., and Ellen Bond Gayle of Coatesville, Pa.
Betty is preceded in death by her father, James H. Bond; mother, Edna M. Bond of West Chester, Pa.; brother, James Bond of West Chester; brother, David Bond of West Chester, husband, Edward L. Brewer of Rehoboth Beach; daughter, Kathleen Costango of Delmar; and son–in–law, Anthony Marta of Millsboro.
Betty’s greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Betty’s favorite pastime was watching her Bee Gees’ videos on YouTube; she never missed a chance to watch Barry Gibb. Betty loved to sit and chat with a cup of coffee and tell stories of her childhood or revisit memories of her husband and family. There is not a day that goes by that Betty’s bright smile, bubbly personality and warm heart are not deeply missed.
Private services will be held Friday, Dec. 16, at Veterans Cemetery, where Betty will be laid to rest with her husband, Edward L. Brewer.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to University of Maryland Medical Center, 110 S. Paca St. 9th Floor, Baltimore, MD 21201, add Vascular Department in the memo.
