Ethel E. Megee, hardworking, independent woman

Ethel E. Megee, 86, of Milton, passed away peacefully Thursday, June 8, 2023, at her home. 

Ethel was born June 12, 1936, in Milton, to the late Mary Reynolds.

Ethel’s family and friends also knew her as Cinderella. She was known for her strong work ethic, and worked at Vlasic Pickle, Mountaire and King Cole. Ethel was very independent and loved to sing and dance to the song “These Boots Are Made for Walking.” She had a sweet tooth and enjoyed eating KFC. Ethel also enjoyed crocheting, dogs, and shopping on her weekend outings with her nieces, Emma and Zella. 

In addition to her mother, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Junior Megee, Charles Megee, Albert Megee, Alice Caulk, Rosie Hughes, Mitilda Moore, Lillie Bowden and Emma Andrie.

She will be greatly missed by her nieces, Emma Andrie and Zella Andrie; her nephew, Wayne Moore; her caregivers, Renee Russell, Allen and Bettyjo Andrie, Amanda Fisher, Dawn and Scott Tulowitzki, Jimmy and Michelle Andrie, Bill and Lesley Levis, Sarah and family, Helen and family, Marilyn and family, Bustor and family, Butch, John and Amy; and numerous great-nieces, great-nephews and extended family members.

Services and interment are private. 

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Ethel’s honor to a charity of choice.
