Festival of Trees raises $165,000 for Delaware Hospice statewide
Delaware Hospice’s signature annual fundraiser, the Festival of Trees, held at Cokesbury Village in Hockessin, at Dover Downs Hotel & Casino and at the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center, raised $165,000 to support the programs and services of Delaware’s only not-for-profit hospice.
Manny Arencibia, vice president of development, said, “On behalf of the entire Delaware Hospice family, I would like to express our appreciation to everyone who contributed to the success of our 2011 Festivals of Trees.”
Joyce Bensinger, associate director of development, said, “These events could never have taken place without our dedicated volunteers, who begin planning in January and continue organizing all year long. We never cease to be amazed at the complexity of each festival and its events, and the magnificence of the exhibits of decorated trees and wreaths, thanks to the hard work of these individuals.”
Arencibia added, “We are also grateful to all of our sponsors, as well as the thousands of visitors who contributed to the event. Delaware Hospice’s patients and families continue to receive the quality care and support services which they deserve each year, regardless of ability to pay, thanks to the generosity of the community.
