Love Creek and Lewes elementary schools were abuzz the day before spring break, as fifth-graders shared science fair projects with friends and family.
Lewes Elementary fifth-grader Liam Schwartz studied the effects of gravity on water.
To find out what size bat to use to hit the most home runs, Love Creek student Leonardo Volpicella used three different length bats to learn that size does impact distance.
To find out which flavor ice cream melts faster, Lewes Elementary student Anna Farrell tested chocolate, vanilla and strawberry and learned she better eat the chocolate fast.
Love Creek student Melody Hubbell found that heart rate is affected by meditation. Melody likes to listen to guided meditation stories while falling asleep.
At Lewes Elementary, Emma Ronzon correctly predicted her hamster would choose a chew toy to help with healthy teeth.
Love Creek student Khatia Brittingham wanted to learn how humidity affects hair.
