Filmmakers may submit 7-Day Horror Trailer Challenge entries by Oct. 12

Budding filmmakers will have a field day, a chance to win $1,000 and their work screened at the historic Milton Theatre as Revival House launches the 7-Day Horror Trailer Challenge. Participants will have exactly one week to script, shoot and edit a trailer for their own horror film to be screened at the Revival House Oh! The Horror event at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 19, at the Milton Theatre during the weekend activities of the Milton Zombie Fest.

On Thursday, Oct. 5, Revival House will stream the qualifications for entering the film live on Facebook to ensure the trailer was created specifically for the event and level the playing field. All films must be submitted to the Revival House, either digitally via email to therevivalhouse@gmail.com or in person at the Milton Theatre by midnight (the witching hour), Thursday, Oct. 12. All qualified horror trailers will be screened in front of a live audience at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 19, at the Milton Theatre, to be followed by the cult horror classic "Trick 'r Treat."

Other contest details will be provided via email. So, filmmakers should summon their most shudder-triggering, scream-inducing and spine-tingling creativity and join the 7-Day Horror Trailer Challenge by emailing therevivalhouse@gmail.com.
