Forum to focus on healthy agriculture and aquaculture June 3
The University of Delaware Cooperative Extension and its partners invite everyone with a stake in assuring healthy farm families and prosperous land and sea farms in Delaware to attend the Linking Agriculture and Aquaculture Farm Vitality and Health Forum, set for 9 a.m to 4 p.m., Tuesday, June 3, at the Delaware Museum of Agriculture, Dover. The event is free.
“Delaware’s agriculture community is a unique and vital part of the state’s economy, culture and history,” said Erik Ervin, interim director of the University of Delaware’s Cooperative Extension. “It is a population faced with increased challenges regarding access to healthcare – geographical and financial access – and the resulting consequences associated with lack of access to care.”
The forum's goal is to bring interested parties together to address barriers to knowledge in physical and psychological wellness and health, create networks of care, encourage networking to learn about existing resources, find opportunities within existing structures, and consider new policies and programs.
Lunch and refreshments will be provided. Anyone interested in the well-being of land and sea farmers, and the communities in which they live is welcome to register at udel.edu/0013326 and learn more.
