Freda G. Shank, avid gardener

Freda G. Shank, 95, beloved mother and nana, of Lewes, passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2024.

Freda was a retired housekeeper of the Masonic Village, Elizabethtown, Pa. She was an avid gardener with a green thumb. Later in life, Freda became a Baltimore Orioles fan, thanks to her daughter and granddaughter.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Freda was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank; her parents, Russel and Mabel Steffen; her brother, Russel; and sisters, Leara, Gloria, Wanda and Jesse. She is survived by her daughter, Teresa; her granddaughter, Karla; her sister, Joyce; and her beloved companion, Beau.  

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Freda's name to Compassionate Care Hospice, 416 Williams St., Ste. 101, Milford, DE 19963.

There will not be a service.
