Frederick Wayne Webb, enjoyed life on the water

November 22, 2024

Frederick Wayne Webb, 76, of Lewes, passed away Thursday, Nov. 14, 2024, at home.

He was born March 25, 1948, in Harrington, son of Harry and Dorothy Webb.

Fred was born and raised in Delaware. Fred grew up on the family farm in Greenwood; however, as a young man, he had a calling for the water. He spent many years commercial lobstering and fishing in Rehoboth Bay and Indian River. He enjoyed each and every sunrise. When he was back on dry land, Fred had a passion for gardening and loved sharing his harvest. He took great joy in passing his love to his grandkids. His favorite title was Pop Pop, and he was a wonderful husband, father, and friend.

In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by his sister, Joan Munch; and daughter-in-law, Marianne Webb. Fred is survived by his wife, Kim (Pinto) Webb; brother, Ronald Webb; sons, Brent and Christopher; granddaughter, Amanda Fisher (Todd); stepchildren, Duwayne Emerick (Yani) and Kristy Thibault (Dustin); grandchildren, Alaina and Blakely Thibault, and Jackson, Hayden, Weston and Sophia Emerick; and great-grandchildren, Kai and Leo Fisher.

Fred will be incredibly missed by all who knew and loved him.

The family would like to extend thanks to Tunnell Cancer Center, including the Palliative Care and Radiation Team for their kind and compassionate care.

Services will be private.
