Garden center to offer holiday decorating classes Nov. 26-Dec. 10
East Coast Garden Center will offer its first Seasonal Decorating and Gifting class series as part of its 2019 Holly Days celebration. Classes will be offered at 11 a.m. or 2 p.m. on select Tuesdays and Saturdays from Tuesday, Nov. 26 to Tuesday, Dec. 10. Lecture classes cost $10 each, and wreath workshops are $30 each to cover materials cost. Customers can sign up at www.eastcoastgardencenter.com or call 302-945-3489 to register and pay by credit card. Preregistration is required.
Classes will provide creative ideas for seasonal decorating and gift giving. Information sharing, demonstration and hands-on learning help attendees focus on using greenery and holiday décor to personalize homes and gifts.
Seasonal Decorating, 11 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 26, $10, will offer inspiring ideas and examples for using greenery and accents to decorate homes both indoors and out using window boxes, front door accents and more.
Winter Blooming Plants, 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 30, $10, will teach participants how to expand their decorating with effective use of both indoor and outdoor plants and bulbs for winter interest. Information will include care instructions, how to choose the right plant and more.
Wreath Workshop, 11 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 3; 11 a.m. or 2 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 7, $30: This hands-on workshop will teach the fundamentals of wreath making so attendees can create their own unique wreath. Additional materials will be available to further personalize wreaths beyond the basics.
Holiday Gifting With Plants, 11 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 10, $10, will focus on unique and creative ways to use plants as holiday gifts, with examples of plant and décor combinations, perhaps along with a gift card. Companion informational cards for the Pollinator Lover, Bird Lover, Native Enthusiast, etc., will be offered, and gift examples will be available for purchase.
