To commemorate National First Responders Day Oct. 28, employees from George & Lynch and Associated Builders and Contractors Delaware presented treats to volunteer fire companies in Rehoboth Beach, Gumboro and Little Creek.
“It’s pretty awesome to honor those who run into danger to protect us,” said Leonard J. Brooks Jr., George & Lynch Inc. vice president.
G&L and ABC were joined In Rehoboth Beach by Sen. Ernie Lopez, R-Lewes, and in Little Creek by Rep. William J. Carson Jr., D-Smyrna. Carson provided a proclamation recognizing National First Responders Day.
G&L’s Alex Brown, Patrick DiMichele, Lisa Hearin, Rhiannon Harper, Rick Stoops, Anthony Taddeo and Christopher Baker, the company’s president and CEO, visited with first responders and dropped off the treats and gift bags assembled by Mary Reed.
A 99-year-old company based in Dover, George & Lynch is a leading infrastructure contractor building roads, bridges and underground utilities on Delmarva.
Associated Builders and Contractors is a national trade association representing more than 21,000 contractors, subcontractors and material suppliers across the country. Baker is the ABC Delaware chairman for 2022.
