Gerald L. Truitt, enjoyed antique cars

Gerald L. Truitt of Millsboro passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2016. He was 67 years old.

Mr. Truitt was born April 18, 1949 to the late Ernest and Agnes Toomey Truitt. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Alvin Truitt in 2014.

Gerald retired from Suburban Propane after 25 years of service. After retirement he also worked at Walmart. He was a member of the Dagsboro Gospel Fellowship Church. He enjoyed antique cars. He was a hard worker, a wonderful and kind man. He liked to go to Bailey's Seaford for breakfast. He was also part of the McDonald's clan as well as Doyle's Restaurant.

He is survived by a sister, Hilda Beebe of Milford and a brother, Vernon Truitt of Gilroy, CA. He is also survived by three nieces, Beverly Beebe Richardson, Victoria Truitt Wheeler, and Sherry Truitt Mitchell and a nephew, Jeffrey Truitt, as well as extended family and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 15 at Carey Cemetery in Millsboro. Pastor Rowland Scott will officiate.
