Girl Scouts to host drive-up cookie sales at Fringe in Lewes Feb. 7, 14

February 4, 2021

Like all other small businesses due to the COVID pandemic restrictions, the Girl Scouts of the Chesapeake Bay troops have had to become creative with cookie sales this year.

Fringe Hair Salon at 1509 Savannah Road, Lewes, has allowed Girl Scout Troop 35 of Lewes and Rehoboth to sell Girl Scout Cookies in a drive-up format from its parking lot. Upcoming sales will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Sundays, Feb. 7 and 14. Patrons will be able to use cash or credit card for contactless payment.

Troop 35 is a senior-level troop using the profits of its cookie sales to fund the girls’ individual Gold Award projects. The Gold Award is the highest-level award a Girl Scout can earn.
