Grace D. Goeller, creative free spirit

June 1, 2021

Grace D. Goeller, 86, of Rehoboth Beach passed away Thursday, May 27, 2021, at Beebe Healthcare in Lewes. She was born April 1,1935, in Bronx, N.Y., daughter of the late Paul and Grace (Wood) Marburger.

At a young age, Mrs. Goeller moved to Kingtson, N.Y., where she grew up and worked in a bakery as a clerk and raised her four children. After being reunited with her high school sweetheart and love of her life, Fred Goeller, they married and joined their two families. After retirement they moved to Rehoboth Beach, where Grace could be seen people-watching at the boardwalk, dancing, and listening to music.

Grace and Fred loved to go to the bandstand and be entertained by the musical attractions that would come each summer. Grace enjoyed going to the beach and instilled her love for the sand and sun in her children and grandchildren for generations to come. Her creative and free spirit will be missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Goeller was preceded in death by her late husband, Fred Goeller, and her lifelong friend and partner in crime, Elaine Plonski. She is survived by her six children: Robinson Bradley and his wife Eileen of Kingston, Bryan Bradley and his wife Kim of Bonita Springs, Fla., Raymond Scott Bradley of Rehoboth Beach, Linda-Su Mabey and her husband Michael of Port Ewen, N.Y., Steven Goeller and his wife Debbie of Garner, N.C., and Peter Goeller of Denton, Texas; eight grandchildren: Ryan, Erin, Amanda, Meredith, Derek, Aidan, Liam and Wesley; four great-grandchildren; and her brother Paul Marburger and his wife Lynn of New York.
