Grateful Dead tribute band in Rehoboth Beach April 11

The most popular Grateful Dead tribute band in the Philadelphia region, Splintered Sunlight, will perform at the Rehoboth Beach Theatre of the Arts at 9 p.m., Saturday, April 11.

Formed in 1992, Splintered Sunlight quickly attracted a loyal following, gaining praise from Dead Heads and non-heads alike. Splintered Sunlight has since become a permanent fixture for live music in the Mid-Atlantic region.

The band recently celebrated its 10th year of performances at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park, N.J., by headlining two weekend shows at that legendary venue. The group has also maintained a weekly residency at Brownies 23 East in Ardmore, Pa., for the past 10 years, offering selections from a playlist of well over 200 songs spanning the 30-year career of The Grateful Dead, as well as numerous other classic rock songs.

Splintered Sunlight and its members have performed with Bob Weir of the Grateful Dead, as well as former Grateful Dead members Donna Jean Godcheaux and pianist Tom Constanten.The band, which takes its name from the Grateful Dead song “Box of Rain,” is excited to be performing for the first time in the resort town of Rehoboth Beach.

All tickets to the Splintered Sunlight concert are general admission and cost $15. Doors open at 8 p.m. with the show beginning at 9.
