A great morning to be out on Delaware Bay

As part of the Hope Floats program, the Freedom Boat Club Sea Sisters joined forces July 14 to take children and families from Children’s Beach House in Lewes on boat tours in Delaware Bay. Not only did they see the historic Delaware Breakwater East End and Harbor of Refuge lighthouses, lots of boat traffic and two U.S. Coast Guard cutters, they were also treated to shows by numerous pods of dolphins. All boats took time to pass in front of the Children’s Beach House to get a view of the building from the water.

The Hope Floats beach party will take place from 6 to 9:30 p.m., Saturday, July 24, at the Children’s Beach House, 1800 Bay Ave., in Lewes. The event is the culmination of the Freedom Boat Club and Giving Hope Network’s partnership with Children’s Beach House to raise awareness and resources to support CBH programs to improve the lives of children and their families.
