Michele Walfred sent this portrait of a grackle in her backyard. ”Grackles are native birds to the U.S. and serve an important function with insect control. During the breeding season, the males are the most iridescent in their colors. I took this through a sliding glass door during a light rain. I think he is beautiful. I named this after a Bob Dylan song because I don’t think they get a lot of respect. Rainy Day Grackle No. 12 & 35.”
