Gruenebaum has built a coalition

September 17, 2024

See Dick and Sally. They live in District 3 of Sussex County. They can’t go anywhere on Friday or Saturday because laissez-faire development has strangled traffic. They can’t find a doctor because all the doctors are booked. Or charging prohibitive fees. They can’t take Spot for a walk in their favorite woodlands because all the trees were clear-cut for another housing development. They can’t learn about natural habitats because all the habitats have been Disney-fied. They can’t enjoy the roadside scenery because self-congratulatory billboards by the developers now pollute the view.

“Oh! Oh, Dick, what can we do?”

“Go talk to county council, Sally! They represent us!”

See Sally attend a meeting. Speak, Sally, speak! “Our woodlands and wetlands and farmlands are disappearing! We must do something! We must save our county, and we must combat climate change.”

See county council. See each current member with two feet. One foot is in county council. The other foot is in the real estate industry. Hear council members speak. “We will take that under advisement.”

Watch the meeting be adjourned. See the council members return to their day jobs. Hear their high school science teachers cry.

See Jane. Jane has no connections to real estate development. Jane believes in science. Jane loves the environment and wants to protect it for her children and grandchildren. Jane co-founded the Sussex Preservation Coalition, and as president, grew it from a dozen members to over 1,000, in just one year. Jane guided the coalition to host monthly meetings featuring informative speakers on county codes, ordinances, wetlands, procedures and more. Jane has a degree in politics and attended the London School of Economics. Jane has a Ph.D. from Columbia. Oh! Oh! Oh!

Now, Jane is running for Sussex County Council in District 3.

Run, Jane, run!

Vote, Sally! Vote, Dick! Vote for Jane Gruenebaum Tuesday, Nov. 5!

Represent, Jane, represent!
