Gruenebaum prepared to address problems

October 8, 2024

Jane Gruenebaum brings excellent credentials and years of experience that will help her support wise decisions as a Sussex County Council member. She has worked at executive levels of national organizations as well as with organizations here in Sussex County. As president of the Sussex Preservation Coalition, she was committed to protecting natural resources in our community. And she is concerned with promoting the quality of life and economic prosperity for all of us with a wise and balanced approach to development.

It is commonsense that we cannot continue building high-density housing at the current pace. Jane supports a big-picture approach that considers the broad impact of each decision. What does it mean for the environment when large swaths of forest are destroyed? How will our schools be able to handle the increases in population that exceed existing classroom and staff capacity? Will our healthcare providers be able expand their services adequately? What does development do to the cost of housing? Will workers be able to afford to live near their jobs? And of course, the roads. Gridlock on Route 1 has become an everyday affair throughout the summer and is not letting up much in the off season. How can emergency vehicles maneuver through such congestion? What is the responsibility of the developers in all of these concerns?

I believe that Jane Gruenebaum is prepared to address these issues as a member of  Sussex County Council.
