Gruenebaum will help stop the madness

October 18, 2024

Because Sussex County Council has failed over the years to act to prevent huge developments from being built in the absence of the roads, schools, medical facilities and emergency services to support them, we are now looking at two huge new developments: Northstar and (coming to us soon, no doubt) Cool Spring Crossing. With what DelDOT estimates as 46,316 new vehicle trips per day, Route 9 is soon to become Parking Lot 9.

New ordinances are required to stop the madness. Creative and independent ways of thinking are needed. We have seen voters in Districts 1 and 2, fed up with the old, slavish obedience to developers, turn their incumbents out of office.

Let's hope we in District 3 will do the same. With this significant turnover in Sussex County Council, there's real hope for the future.

Jane Gruenebaum's history of advocacy on behalf of reasonable growth, her way of bringing people to the table to find commonsense solutions, her independence and her honesty will make her the council member we need.

Let's put a stop to the destruction of our coastal communities. Let's elect Jane Gruenebaum to Sussex County Council.
