Harry C. Dill, devout Catholic
Harry C. Dill, 84, of Rehoboth Beach, passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at Bayhealth Medical Center in Milford. He was born July 6, 1939, in Baltimore, son of the late Harry E. and Verna Dill.
Harry was raised in Baltimore and attended Baltimore City College High School, Baltimore College of Commerce and University of Baltimore. He was drafted in 1962 during the Vietnam Conflict and served in the U.S. Army. Following his service to the country, Harry worked as a self-employed insurance salesman, as well as being the owner and operator of Tritronics-Baltimore Co., an electrical TV and radio parts store. He had many hobbies and interests, spending many hours gardening, fishing and boating. In addition, Harry shared his skilled woodworking with others at many craft shows. A devout Catholic, he was a faithful member of St. Jude the Apostle Church. Harry was honest to a fault, but always a kind and loving friend to all. He will be deeply missed by all who had the good fortune to know him.
Harry is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Roberta Lowekamp Dill; his children, Robert Dill and Kim Stern (Kevin); his grandchildren, Sophia and Eleanor Stern; his brother, William Dill (Beth); his brother-in-law, Bernard Lowekamp; his sister-in-law, Margery Rudie; his many nieces and nephews; and his adored pets, the Havaneses, Cappy and Winston, and the cats, Buttons and Raz-ma-Taz, aka Taz.
Services will be private.
Final care has been entrusted to Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, Lewes.
