March 12, 2022

On March 10, 2022, Harry George Greenly Jr., 73, of Milford, passed away peacefully at Bayhealth Hospital in Dover with his wife and daughter by his side.

He was born Nov. 8, 1948, in Newfoundland to the late Harry Sr. and Janis Greenly. Harry worked in the tire business for many years managing different establishments in Milford. In his retirement, he owned Harry's Home Improvement Services, where he could do what he loved most, help others.

Harry, a lifelong Milfordian, was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather who loved his girls tremendously. You could find Harry around town in his truck with his black lab, a cigar and Pepsi, and a big smile. Harry was an avid hunter and fisherman who shared his skills with his friends. He could fix almost anything and had a knack for making people laugh. Harry also loved sports; he coached and umpired Little League for many years and was a lifelong Phillies and Eagles fan. Most importantly, Harry was dedicated to his family and friends, and was always there to help no matter how big or small the need or task.

Harry is survived by his wife of 51 years, Mary Ellen Greenly; his daughter and son-in-law, Jenny and John Nauman; and by his beloved granddaughters, Elle and Anna Nauman. He is also survived by his sister, Jan Sentman; his nieces, Shelley Sentman Perry (Brant) and Kelly Emory; and his nephews, Brian Sentman and Rusty Emory (Sarah).  He is also survived by his brothers-in-law, Jeffrey (Donna) and Russell Emory; along with great-nieces and -nephews, cousins, and many friends whom he adored.

Services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, March 18, at  Avenue United Methodist Church, Milford. Friends may visit from 10 to 11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in his name to the Phelan McDermid Syndrome Foundation, 8 Sorrento Dr., Osprey, FL 34229, secure.qgiv.com/for/2wfdne.
