Heidi Lowe Gallery is offering two different 2.5 hour jewelry-making classes every Monday and a beach glass ring workshop once a month this summer.
Each class is designed for fun, success and safety. Students will learn how to make a piece of jewelry from start to finish and wear their own handmade jewelry out the door.
A beach glass ring workshop is set for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, June 12. Cost is $245. Students will learn how to make a ring and set a piece of beach glass in silver. The instructor will teach techniques such as sawing, filing, soldering and bezel setting. Participants can choose from a selection of beach glass provided. Registration closes Wednesday, June 9.
A rings of intention class will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Monday, June 14. Cost is $120. Each student will come up with a word of intention that embodies what they want to attract, cultivate or focus on in life. Students will be taught basic metalworking techniques to make a silver ring with their word stamped into it and leave with a wearable reminder of their intention. Registration closes Friday, June 11.
A stackable rings class will be held from 2 to 4:40 p.m., June 14. Cost is $130. Participants will make a stack of three rings. Students will start by learning how to size their rings. Then they will make three different rings using techniques including texturing, forming and soldering. Registration closes Friday, June 11.
