Heidi Lowe Gallery is offering a variety of jewelry-making classes this summer. Students will learn how to make a piece of jewelry from start to finish and wear their own handmade creation out the door.
A Beach Glass Ring Workshop will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, July 9. Students will learn how to make a ring and set a piece of beach glass in silver. Cost is $245.
Layered Pendant Class is set for 12:30 to 3:30 p.m., Monday, July 11. Participants will make a layered silver pendant with imagery inspired by nature. No previous metalsmithing experience is required. Attendees will learn how to cut, file, solder and polish their piece of jewelry. Cost is $135.
Mantra Cuff Bracelet Class is set for 5 to 8 p.m., Monday, July 18. Participants make their own piece of sterling silver jewelry with a personal mantra stamped into it. They will learn to saw, texture, stamp, form and polish metal to make a unique, finished cuff bracelet. Cost is $145.
Rings of Intention classes will be held from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m., Mondays, July 11 and 18, and Aug. 1 and 8. Students will be taught basic metalworking techniques to create a handmade textured silver ring with their word of intention stamped on the inside. Cost is $120.
A Stacker Rings Class will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., Monday, July 25. Cost is $130. Participants will learn to cut, file and form metal, and make three different rings to stack or wear separately. This class is perfect for beginners.
Registration closes the Saturday before the class date. Participants must be at least 13 years old.
