Helen Elizabeth McBride, loving homemaker
Helen Elizabeth McBride, 82, of Milton passed away Sunday, Aug. 21, 2022, in her home surrounded by loved ones. Helen was born July 6, 1940, in Chester, Pa., to her parents Francis Hughes Price and Mary Hilda (Price) Pennington.
She enjoyed knitting, watching Lifetime movies, singing at church, playing solitaire and going to the beach. She loved country music and riding her golf cart on Broadkill Beach. Helen enjoyed spending time with her family, and she was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother Lawrence F. Price. She is survived by her husband, Gilbert F. McBride Jr.; children, Donna Lee Behornar (John), Kimberly Ann Nickle (Dale), Cynthia Lynn Stopyra (Al) and Pamela Marie Stopyra (Steve); seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 25, at Short Funeral Services chapel, 416 Federal St., Milton. A time of visitation will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, Aug. 26, at Chester Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery, 2629 Faulk Road, Wilmington.
